2013: Dashing newcomers in the TV industry (Female)
Just like the big screen the small screen too has witnessed a lot of new entries this year. A lot of pretty girls have entered the tinsel town to spread their magic on the small screen and work hard to emerge as seasoned actors in the near future. So, let’s have a look at the newcomers of 2013 (Names arranged alphabetically) Chandani Bhagwanani (Amita Ka Amit): This not so conventionally good looking actress made her television debut as a child artist but Amita Ka Amit is definitely her big break and we must say that she left no stone unturned in showcasing her talent. But, the show couldn’t last too long. It’s all set to go off-air this week. Chhavi Pandey (Ek Boond Ishq): Chhavi is amongst one of those lucky few debutants who get to play the role of a very today’s girl but at the same time this love story throws other challenges at her. As Tara, the actress has managed to work it out so far but she still has a long way to go. Harshita Gaur (Sadda Haq): This model turned actress is seen as a college going girl who wants to make her mark in this world dominated by men. Harshita is a gorgeous looking girl and she has a promising future. Hiba Nawab (Crazy Stupid Ishq): Hiba made her debut as a girl-next-door, someone who wants to have fun like most of the young girls. We must say that this actress is lucky for she got to play her age instead of getting into a saas-bahu drama. Ishita Dutta (Ek Ghar Banaunga): Ishita just adds up to the beautifully weaved story of this Star Plus show. Plus her acting skills are definitely worth being praised. Nikita Sharma (Do Dil ... Ek Jaan): This pretty tall looking lady made her television debut with Nautanki and BAG Telefilms’ show on Life OK but she failed to deliver as per her talent. She is good but just needs to fine tune her skills and cut the rough edges. Pooja Singh (Diya Aur Baati Hum): Pooja Singh made an entry as Emily in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum where she was seen as the lead Suraj’s (Anas Rashid) younger brother Mohit’s (Varun Jain) girlfriend, who gets pregnant even before their wedding. The actress was seen giving in some outstanding performances as a woman who fights for her rights and finally goes on to marry the father of her unborn child. Paridhi Sharma (Jodha Akbar): She was the one to be selected as Jodha after a never ending audition process for the role and we must admit that she does fit the bill well. The actress has managed to carry the royalty that Jodha must have plus her innocent looks and beautiful eyes add up to the entire Jodha image. Rachna Parulkar/ Shirina Singh (Ek Mutthi Aasman): Both these actresses recently made a debut in Zee TV’s story based on the dreams of a household help. Currently they are seen as college going girls who are best of friends and keep helping each other in times of need. As far as their screen presence is concerned, we must give them some more time. Riya Deepsi (Mahabharat): This debutant actress is currently essaying Gandhari. A role that even senior artist would be scared to touch in terms of its magnificence. But Riya had done justice to the character and we know that she is here to stay. Sapna Pabbi (24): We are sure that a lot of newcomers are jealous of Sapna as they did not get to play Anil Kapoor’s daughter but, this debutant is definitely happy to the core after bagging this role. This slim girl had to play very much today’s girl who wants to party and have fun with friends but sticks to her family in turbulent times. This one’s definitely a dream debut. Sippora Zoutewelle (Firangi Bahu): Sippora is a firang but she can mouth Hindi dialogues fluently. She has been churning out some jaw dropping performances as Camili Jonathan. She is also the first firang bahu on Indian Television. Sheetal Singh (Paanch): This Nasha star made her television debut with Paanch where she is seen as a girl who is all set to take revenge of her sister’s death. It will be interesting to watch how Sheetal plans and plots murder of her sister’s culprit. Shefali Sharma/Neha Bagga (Bani – Ishq Da Kalma): Shefali Sharma is indeed beautiful and talented. In spite of being a newcomer in the industry she has managed to depict the issues (via her role) that lot of women face, who are married to NRIs. Next girl worth all the praises on this show is a bit chubby looking actress Neha Bagga. She was an apt casting for a loud mouthed Punjabi girl and she has fit the role to the tee with her power packed performances. Her graph on the show has just gone upwards with every passing day. Keep up the good work girl. Shiny Doshi (Sarswatichandra): This doe-eyed beauty made her debut with Star Plus’ Saraswatichandra as Kusum Desai the younger sister of Kumud aka Jennifer Winget and went on to showcase her acting talent. She is being appreciated for her performances and as seen so far she is all set to get married to her sister’s ex-lover Saras (Gautam Rode). Tejaswi Welingkar (Sanskaar - Dharohar Apno Ki – Season 2): She entered the second season of Colors’ Sanskaar as a simple Gujarati girl who can do anything for her boss Jay (Jay Soni). In spite of being a modern woman, Tejaswi manages to carry off her role in a ghagra choli with sheer perfection. To vote for your favourite newcomer (female) visit our poll section.
