Colors’ Kasam, started off with much fanfare and curiosity. A tale of two estranged lovers, whose journey moves past their lives, did intrigue one and all.
Said to be a takeoff from Yashraj’s Lamhe, the Balaji Telefilms’ series stars Ssharad Malhotra and Kratika Sengar in lead roles.
But with time, the tracks got redundant and the storyline has been faltering, as per feedback on our social feeds from fans.
So, here we get the creatives and writers few inputs that could spice up the drama in Kasam, this New Year.
Rishi-Tanu romance
The love story has no romance, and that is what we don’t like. On and off the two do share some ‘close’ moments but fail to make us smile in joy. This year, there should be stronger doses of love and romance between Rishi and Tanu.
Get real- Rishi should look his age
Even with Tanu returning after reincarnation, it’s shocking to see Rishi look the same. The story was to move ahead and he should have an aura of a 40 year old man. That was the magic of the core story which went amiss somewhere in the midst. Get it back and add some fun, please!
Family drama...no more
We do believe that family drama adds excitement and fun in TV shows but then too much of it can be a spoiler. With Rishi’s mom (Vibha Chibber) always on the lookout to separate Rishi and Tanu, things have become monotonous.
Tanu fighting for her rights
The reincarnated Tanu was more powerful, righteousness and had the courage to speak up. But in the past few months, Tanu has become a meeky wife who agrees to whatever her husband does. We want a stronger Tanu to dominate Rishi and fight for her rights.
Focus on other characters
Kasam was a tale of not just Rishi-Tanu but also about the various other interesting characters. From Yuvraj (Lalit Bisht) to Neha (Renee Dhyani), their exciting stories also kept us hooked. Time we get them back again, eh?
