#CleanIndia Campaign: TV actors support the movement
India is moving its way towards becoming a powerful nation, and with the dreams and efforts of millions, it would reach the mark soon. And working towards a beautiful nation, the government recently announced the Clean India Campaign that promises to make India dirt free in five years. Starting from today, Clean India Campaign will work till 2nd October 2019 marking Gandhiji’s 150th birth anniversary by completing this objective. Tellychakkar.com got talking with TV celebs as they talk about the drive and also request fans to support it. Khushwant Walia: I feel the movement can only work when we change ourselves. Firstly I think the most important thing is to keep the ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ garbage separately. It makes it easier to gash the garbages that way. One should start from home and spread out the message further. I personally make it a point to keep my city clean and never throw out bottles or garbages from my car. I feel as actors we should be example setters and become more socially responsible so that people can follow us and slowly we can make our nation a beautiful one. Bharat Chawda: The Clean India movement is a very important one for our country and I am sure we will achieve it. Personally I am very particular about keeping my city clean and also make it a point to make my friends follow it too. Everyone of us should actually pledge to support the campaign and spread the message around. Mihika Varma: I am completely against people who litter and get really pissed. Studies have proved that it’s mostly men who do it. I feel in a country with so much population, if we take up a campaign it can easily be put to work if everyone contributes towards it. The movie Jai Ho taught us a really interesting way. If each one of us make three people aware of the importance of cleanliness and ask them to help three other each, slowly we can surely achieve the objective. Pankaj B Singh: People should be made aware of this campaign. I think rather than thinking about Facebook and Whatsapp hit we should make our country a hit. It’s difficult but not impossible. We make it a point to keep our house clean and if we can give just 10 percent of the same effort and also clean 10 meters around us, India will surely be a dirt free country. Also with the huge population, I think we should be successful in this objective before the scheduled time. Ragini Khanna: I Support the clean India moment. It is a very good initiative taken by Narendra Modi. It’s high time that we should have a clean and hygienic environment. I think it is just a beginning and this will lead to pollution and diseases free life. I hope and pray that everyone support him in this cause. Yash Gera: Not only from today, but long back I have changed a lot in myself to keep my city clean. I make it a point to collect all garbage and throw them in dustbins. People should too follow this. With each for one, this movement can become successful soon. I want to say one thing that once you change your house, colony and city, it will automatically change our country. Priyanshu Jora: Better late than never; it’s good that our authorities have planned this campaign. I would like to mention that India actually imports waste for recycling. Considering the amount of waste we produce, it could be the largest producer, yet we have to import. Proper waste management is needed and we should all make it a point to follow it. Not in five years, but we can do this in months if each of us work towards it. Also the biggest problem is that we don’t have enough dustbins on road. That should be a priority in the list.
