FIFA fever in Tellydom

It’s 12 June and FIFA fever is on! The international football tournament that has millions of viewers glued to their TV sets has not spared our television stars either. Tellychakkar.com caught up with a few TV stars to know if they are ‘kicked’ about the FIFA this year and who they are cheering for…let’s roll it… Vivian Dsena: Being a football player FIFA always excites me. Of course the matches will air early morning in India, which is difficult, but will surely try to watch a few games. In fact if I get time, I am so crazy a fan that I might head to Brazil to watch live action. My favourite team is Argentina and my favourite players are Lionel Messi and Neymar. Kiran Srinivas: I love football and can’t afford to miss it. I am going to watch it for sure no matter what time of the day. I support to Netherland, Germany, Spain and Portuguese. My preferred players are one and only Ronaldo and Neymar. I like to watch matches at home as I am not too comfortable with a lot of noise. I don’t like when people keep questioning or interrupting me. Karan Mehra: Well, you just can’t miss FIFA. Matches are pretty late so won’t be able to watch all of them. But I will try to take holiday from shoot to specially watch FIFA with my good buddies Karan Wahi because he has a big screen at his place. I have seen live matches in England but given a chance I would love to be on field (smiles). My much loved team is Argentina and Messi is my favourite player. Mouni Roy: I used to watch FIFA back in days when I was in Kolkata. And with Jhalak shoot and other activities I don’t really get time to watch so I don’t think I will be able to watch this year. But yes being a Rolando fan I will always support him and his team. Aishwarya Sakhuja: I have a gang of friends who are hardcore fans of football and staying with them I have started understanding the game. I have late night shoots so won’t be able to watch all matches but if get time then I will surely watch a couple with my friends. My favourite team is Spain as it has very good looking players (smiles) and my favourite is Ronaldinho and Ronaldo. Shabbir Ahluwalia: Being a diehard fan of this game I will make sure to watch it. I will take time out and watch the game with my friends and family. I prefer watching it at someone’s house. My favourites are Messi from Argentina, Eden Hazard from Belgium, and Andrés Iniesta from Spain. Kushal Punjabi: This time it’s going to be all out soccer for me as I am not doing any daily soap at the moment. In fact, I will have my friends coming over to watch the game with me for I have a big TV. The teams that I’d be supporting are Argentina and Germany. I am not holding on to one team yet that’s something that I’d finalise only as the game progresses. The players I like are Rocha, Messi and Kaka.
