A gesture for family that will take celebs a long way this Diwali

Festivals are about celebrating togetherness and spreading love among your loved ones. It’s important to make them feel special because celebrations become sweeter with families by our side, right?

With Diwali around the corner, who isn’t making an effort to spread smiles around? We wonder what our celebrities are up to. So we quizzed your favourite celebs to know their special plans for their folks…Read on:

Namish Taneja:

I have planned something special this Diwali which I cannot reveal now. I have purchased secret gifts for my parents and siblings and I will be giving it to them after Laxmi Puja. The funny part is that they are all aware of it and are trying their best to find what’s in store for them. I am forced to lock up all the ‘secret gifts’ inside the almira (smiles).

Kinshuk Vaidya:

I will try to spend maximum time with my family this Diwali.

Roop Durgapal:

My parents have everyone’s pictures except their own couple portrait. I managed to get hold of their solo pictures from the day of their marriage, combined those to make it look like as if they are sitting together. I have framed it as well. Now I am planning to send it home as a Diwali surprise.

Akshay Dogra:

Never thought of Diwali this way before, it was all about just getting together and celebrating a festival but this is food for thought. Living in Mumbai, it is difficult for me to be with my parents and my in-laws. I haven’t had a Diwali where the whole family has been together. If I can, I would like to arrange a family get-together.

Abhishek Bajaj:

I am trying to setup a temple in my home and do a video call with my family, when they would be performing puja. So through the video call, I will be a part of the puja too.

Namik Paul:

I have missed out on being home on Diwali in the last two years, so by going home and helping around with anything that needs to be done will be a nice gesture. I think just by being home with the most important people in my life is the best Diwali gift I can get and hope the family feels the same way.
