It is time to resonate out our patriotic feelings and celebrate the day our nation was declared Independent.
With schools organising special cultural programs and giving kids a chance to make the most of this special day, we got in touch with the young bright talents of Sony Entertainment Television to know more about their memories and plans for I-Day.

15th August is a day when we decorate our classrooms with tri colours, sing patriotic songs and also there is a flag hoisting ceremony wherein all the teachers and students participate. It is a beautiful day for all of us!

It is a special day for Indians and we celebrate it in our school. From wearing white attires to singing the national anthem and drawing the flag, it is one moment when we all get together and enjoy. Also the authorities distribute chocolates and sweets on this day.

We have a holiday in school but a special programme is planned to celebrate the day. We sing the national anthem and have some special performances lined up. Also in my society, we have a grand celebration wherein we get to eat a lot of yummy traditional food and also enjoy some acts put up by the older kids. Since I have shoot this year, I will miss the fun.

There is a function organised by my school every year where we all come together and hoist the flag. I’m missing my friends though, but yes, I am going to celebrate this Independence Day with the crew of Indian idol.

On Independence Day we dress up in tri-colours and go to the school for a special program. Our Principal gives a speech and which is followed by an elocution competition conducted by the school management where I used to participate, so this year I’m missing the same.
