The world of music is fascinating. The harmonic palette filled with diverse colors of emotions, cascades into our hearts and evokes memories which are etched forever.
Songs, specially the nostalgic old ones, are source of inspiration, consolation and of course, entertainment.
The melodious renditions of Kishore, Rafi and Lata, often termed as the golden era, act as a balm to our achy senses.
Every song has a story. It interacts and intertwines with the memories and experiences of a listener, making it extremely personal. People relate to songs and claim them to be their own.
For us, a good song is a perfect semblance of melody and lyric, evoking emotions, so beautifully arranged that when sung, give equal pleasure to a seasoned vocalist or a bathroom singer (chuckle).
A song transcends all barriers, bringing people together.
Capturing similar moods and intoxicating ambience of the ‘old is gold’ era is Sony MIX’s intriguing show Raina Beeti Jaye- Jashn. A programming masterpiece, the show is an ode to all our favourite things about the era gone by.
