Tellychakkar.com’s 9th anniversary bash: The Not So Best Dressed on the Red Carpet

View slideshow above Every page 3 soiree draws its own list of best dressed and worst dressed celebs. Though there were no fashion disasters or wardrobe malfunctions at Tellychakkar.com 9th anniversary bash, there were a few celebs whose sartorial sense we thought probably didn’t do justice to their amazing personalities. We list out a few names who we thought could have done better. Karan Kundra - Karan Kundra straddled in wearing a blue coloured denim shirt, black denim pants and brown boots with untied lace and open zipper (Perhaps Karan didn’t get enough time to bend down, if you know what we mean.) While we had our pirate accessories ready, Karan thought of getting something of his own – a hair band. Hmm...Interesting but not exactly exciting, we say. Avinash Mukherjee - It looked like Avinash arrived at the party after watching a Jeetendra movie. Dressed in pure virgin white from top to bottom, the Balika Vadhu star, we thought looked a bit too young to carry off this mature look. A peppier outfit would have looked elegant on this young star. After all, youngsters are meant to experiment with colours, right? Ajaz Khan - Ajaz seriously has a fixation for his brown jacket. We don’t know if that is his favourite colour but this ex finalist of Bigg Boss 7 is seen these days in public wearing nothing but brown all over. We hope he is not endorsing a brand who has paid him millions to keep his brown jacket on. Given his debonair looks and female fan following, we feel it’s time for Ajaz to dump the jacket and get into something more innovative. May be Gauahar (Khan) can suggest something exciting! After all, she has an opinion on everything that moves. Disha Vakhani - Well the seven yard Indian fabric can be the most sensuous thing if chosen wisely with the right colour combination. The very beautiful Disha however looked all dolled up to attend a gujju sunburn night in a neon green peacock blue border saree and a matching blouse. Though she looked pretty, we felt that the outfit was not exactly in keeping with our dress code - dress to kill. As an afterthought, some sparkling jewellery and high heels would have probably made a much more impactful fashion statement with her saree. Dilip Joshi - Dilip shone a bit too brightly on the red carpet blinding us for a wee bit. Shiny black shirt, black trousers and black shoes. When in doubt, go for black they say. But a little experiment never hurts, we say. May be a nice grey coloured jacket would have added more colour to the black ensemble. Anshul Trivedi - Let’s face it. Anshul is a very good looking man. But his clothes didn’t do justice to his drop dead good looks. A flimsy grey t-shirt and slightly worn out denims with brown boots. We liked the boots but the moment the shutterbugs went click click, his unmentionables - a red and white elastic strap of his undergarments -were there for all to see. Flashing your undergarments looks more appropriate on Poonam Pandey and not on hunks like Anshul, we feel. Meiyang Chang - Chang looks dapper in jackets. We have seen that. But yesterday, he opted for a dual coloured shiny shirt and faded blue coloured denim. Now the Chang we know is always sartorially well-turned out but, not quite on the bash night. Dabbling between formal and casual, Chang didn’t exactly look like he was dressed to kill. Either he could have gone completely formal or casual. May be next time. Fenil Umrigar - Fenil is gorgeous. No two opinions about that. But yesterday, we thought she was perhaps trying to look more like a teenager with the whole black jumpsuit and a blue coloured balloon top look. But what caught maximum attention were her multi-coloured blue red golden and white bangles which reminded us of a school girl dressed up for her coaching classes. May be at times, being simple helps. Eijaz Khan - Eijaz looked like he had jogged into our party straight after completing his power yoga classes. He was dressed in a red and white baseball t-shirt, red and white sneaker and cargos. Well, for a man who can create ripples when dressed in a tuxedo, Eijaz looked quite dressed down at the party. Here was the list. If you have a different opinion from ours, you can always give it in the comment section below.
