The last time when TV actors cried in real life

Crying helps you to vent out emotions and unsaid feelings. Tears, both of sadness and mirth, bring closure…

Never be afraid or ashamed to express your feelings when you feel the need to cry. Interestingly, even TV celebs don’t shy away from crying in real…we caught up with few of our favourites and asked them to share with the us the last time they welled-up…read on:

Asmita Sood: Last time I cried was when I learnt that my grandma had to undergo a knee replacement surgery. I am very close to her and share a special bond with her. I was in Mumbai when I learnt about the surgery and I could not visit her because of hectic schedules. After a week, I managed to take out time for her. The moment I saw how weak she was and that she was not able to walk, I burst into tears. Thankfully, she is better now and can walk a little.

Vikkas Manaktala: I was very close to my grandfather and he's the reason I believe in goodness. He was my God. I lost him in January 2009 and miss him dearly. Every time I remember him, my throat gets choked and tears start flowing down my cheeks, which was a fortnight back. Besides that, I was recently watching Ming Ma perform a song on Dance+, dedicating it to fathers. That was an extremely emotional moment for me as I miss my family dearly, besides, my dad and I are quite thick. So naturally, the tears didn't stop. In fact, I called him up after seeing the performance, to express my love for him.

Rohan Mehra: When I got the best debut award as a main lead at Gold Awards this year. After receiving it, I actually had tears in my eyes but they were ‘khushi ke aansoo’.

Naman Shaw: I am not emotional at all, so situations don’t really make me cry. I only used to cry when my mom would beat me up because I would score bad numbers in my exams.

Rachana Parulkar: I usually don't cry in front of any one. That is something I have maintained so far. But I get this moist (tears) when I see slightly aged men struggling to cross the road or when they travel by crowded buses, etc. The reason is that they are aged and someone's father. So the way I want comfort and safety and happiness for my father, I feel the same for other people too. So I, usually, don’t cry but yes, I do get red-eyed…like it happened with me about three days back.

Aditi Sajwan: I think crying is cathartic. It helps vent out our emotions, fears, depressions… and makes us feel light. I cry often. I know it’s not good for health but I also know that it’s better to throw out any negativity than keep it. A month back, when I was very ill and was shooting back to back, I cried a lot as I was missing home. I wanted someone to pamper me. Let me tell you this, I really become a kid when I am unwell.

Aanchal Khurana: I am a very emotional person so I cry almost every week because I miss my family, who stay Delhi. In fact, last night I cried as I got to know that my dad was down with chicken guinea. I will travel to Delhi soon to see him.

Kamya Punjabi: Last time I cried was during visarjan…because Ganpati bappa was going back.

Roshni Walia: The last time I cried was on March 19 when my pet died. I was blank and could not believe it. He was the most important thing to me. I really miss him.

Parag Tyagi: During Nach Baliye rehearsals, Shefali and I were known for crazy difficult lifts. During one of the rehearsals, I had to fling her in the air and catch her. I misjudged and she fell flat on her face from a height of eight feet. By God’s grace, she was fine but at that moment, I couldn't control myself and burst into tears.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee: It’s very necessary to detoxify yourself to balance our emotions. Whenever I cry, I get strength, I feel more powerful and unbreakable. The way we laugh, smile, love, fight …one should cry to detox themselves.
