TV actors urge fans to SAVE 'water'

TV actors urge fans to SAVE

Imagine life without water!

This scary vision gives us goose bumps. In fact, there are many homes in India that doesn’t have a drop of water to drink. Seeing the dry ponds and lakes makes us to hope that God showers us with rain very soon. But before that we need to conserve water to live.

Tellychakkar.com got in touch with TV celebs to ask for some tips to save water. Read on...

Devoleena Bhattacherjee: I have seen this issue personally. It’s really important to save water. Think of it as saving lives. Use only those many liters as required. Don’t leave the taps running while bathing or brushing. Switch showers for bucket baths.

Shakti Arora: I would suggest my fans to avoid taking shower baths. Avoid keeping the tap on while shaving and brushing. Keep an eye on leaking taps and get them repaired immediately.

Divyanka Tripathi: Water recycling is important. One can use leftover water for flushing purposes. Taps should not be left running while brushing teeth or washing face. Using bucket water while bathing is better than shower.

Sumeet Raghavan: I have given strict instructions to all the maids at home to not keep the tap running while washing utensils. Have told the watchman to not wash cars but to just dust them and if there are few spots then dampen a cloth and wipe it. Have even told a few neighbours to put only half a glass of water in each flower pot. People have this misconception that the pot needs to be filled till the brim.

Jasmin Bhasin: Bucket bath saves more water than shower so go for it. Keep the taps closed while washing face or shaving. Do not give unnecessary clothes for washing and opt for water recycling.

Karan Mehra: Avoid washing cars every day. Bucket showers instead of rain showers at home will help conserve water

Surbhi Jyoti: I have always urged people to save water. During Holi also I requested all to not waste water. Whenever you see any pipe leakage, make sure you report about it to the concerned authority. If you have kids at home then educate them to save water too. I have read somewhere that we are the last generation to save water as the next gen will have water scarcity.

Wow! That's how our responsible actors act. Do follow their tips. You can also share your list in the comment box below.
