When Neeraj Grover murder trial began on October 16, 2008, hardly anyone would have foreseen that the Indian judiciary will allow someone who has chopped a human body into pieces to be let off so easily. A Mumbai court on Friday sentenced Maria Susairaj and her boyfriend Emile Jerome, an ex-navy officer, to three and ten years of rigorous imprisonment respectively. However, the judiciary allowed Maria to walk free as she had already completed three years in jail.

The verdict many believed made a mockery of the laws of the country. Many people from the TV industry, college students and other citizens have decided to voice their concern and dissatisfaction on the decision and are staging a candle light vigil on July 03 at 11 am from Dheeraj Solitaire – where Grover was cruelly murdered – to Juhu’s Hotel Tulip Star.
TellyChakkar talked to some of the TV celebs who have decided to support the rally and voice their opinion against the verdict.
