Vishal Singh aka Dr. Dev of Bhabhi fame has secretly unveiled his desire of turning a director soon. "I was always interested in being behind the camera," claims Vishal. The actor, who's currently busy with just one daily on Star Plus says, "It was after Dekh Bhai Dekh that I opted for acting. I was about to join a film school to learn the ropes of direction." Though he doesn't have many shows in his kitty, he's still content with the kind of work he is engaged in. And one more daily is a strict no-no for him, "It's too tiring for a protagonist to work for two different lead roles on different channels," explains Vishal. So when does he plan to realise his wish? "I have yet not decided when I will give direction a serious thought," says Singh. "The medium is not important, all I want to deliver is quality output," he adds. Will acting take a back seat then? "No I am not taking a break from acting as there is still a lot of time for direction." Here's one smart guy who has kept another boat ready in case his first one starts sinking. Saloni Ka filmy safar : Rajshri Thakur, aka Saloni of Saat Phere is also very keen on a Bollywood career. In fact, not many know that the lanky actress has already done an international film, Hawa Aane De, before the Zee TV project came her way. Films, provide an ultimate platform for the expression of your creative talent. So much attention is paid to your character and look, " she says. So what kind of films would Rajshri like to do? But I will not be quiting TV for the big screen, as some of my colleagues are doing," she reveals. So would you agree to do bold roles? "Why not if the character has meat enough and is presented beautifully! However, I will not wear short skirts and run around in next to nothing outfits." she asserted. Kissa wallet ka: Recently lady luck favoured actor Karan Mehra aka Vedaanth of Viruddh, when he almost lost his wallet. The story goes that he had visited a shop where he absentmindedly forgot his purse and moved ahead. A couple of hours later, he received a call from an unknown man inquiring if he had lost his wallet. It was then that Karan realized about his missing possession and was left stunned with shock and relief. Apparently the kind man had taken the trouble of tracing the owner of the wallet by acquiring Karan's identity from his credit card and calling up the bank to his contact number. Mehra immediately ran to meet the man and got his purse back. "I am so thankful to him. It's quite touching to see the pains he took to track me down. Its nice to meet such people," says Karan. Maun wrat: Actor Ashima Bhalla, the protagonist (Sudha) of Star Plus' prime time show, Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni, is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin of her character. In one of the recently canned episode, Sudha had to maintain a maun vrat, in order to pray for the success of her love, Raaj. And Ashima decided to literally push envelop by keeping mum for the whole day when the episode was being shot. "I did it for fun but believe me, it was very difficult for a loquacious person like me to keep a maun vrat," says Ashima. And Bhalla's real act gave the crew a pretty tough time. "Every body was at their wit's end trying to figure out what is wrong with my voice. They even tricked me to speak, but in vain," she laughs. However, Ashima stuck by her one-day resolution. She explained things via sign language till the rest of the crew broke into a round of applause for her dedication. "It was difficult as I had to mime if I needed something. Still, if the crew did not understand, I had to write it down," speaks Ashima. "At the end of the day I really wanted to laugh out loud and tell my parents about this experience, but had to continue the vrat," she adds. Well, this is how Ashima literally gave up her voice, at least for a day, in Sudhha's favour! Ram Kapoor's `Thakral' troubles : After Roshni Chopra it's now Ram Kapoor's turn.
