An industry insider shared with us that Life OK’s new show Ghulam by Saurabh Tewari recently replaced its lead with another who interestingly has more followers on social media.

Well, to update our readers, Disha Parmar was chosen to play the lead role in the upcoming drama opposite Vikas Manaktala and Param Singh. But recently, after the team shot the pilot, Niti Taylor was brought in place of Disha as the protagonist.

And if the khabaru is to be believed, it was Niti’s popularity on social media that got her the prized role.

As viewers would know both the actresses are quite talented and extremely popular on the social media. Wanting to see the statistics we studied their accounts and here is the data that we found out.

Niti- Facebook (314,842), Instagram (562962) and Twitter (361367).

Disha- Facebook (2,524,451), Instagram (169287) and Twitter (40614).

Well, seeing the above numbers it can be clearly seen that Niti indeed stands above Disha when it comes to Insta and Twitter profiles but falls short on Facebook likes.

If indeed the buzz is true, next time before an audition, actors would be visiting social media experts to increase their value on the internet.
