Sharad-Kirti going the Hiten-Gauri way!

"Wherever you go, I'll follow," this one's adage that has been doing the rounds in relation to real life couple, Hiten and Gauri, but it seems that another TV couple has taken over the distinction - Sharad Kelkar and Kirti Gaekwad now star in two shows together and they make no bones about the fact that they are enjoying their stint as Zee's golden couple. No one can deny that the handsome actor and the petite actress make an awesome pair and both their shows, Sinndoor and Saat Phere are both top shows on Zee TV.
Kirti's recent entry in Saat Phere saw the couple again playing husband and wife....like in Sinndoor and in the former, Kirti's introduction was at quite a dramatic moment with the show poised on an interesting point! Although the 25 May episode said that Kirti's character's dead, a little bird tells us that she will be part of the show for some time to come! We are sure that the couple will have a great time enjoying each other's company! Tulsi to die in Kyunki...! Ronit Roy and his sons have grown beards...the women have taken out their choicest whites and glycerine bottles are doing the rounds...Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi is in mourning! Tulsi Virani has breathed her last! The rona dhona sequence across the large and rather infamous family has already been shot involving Mihir and rest of the cast. Tulsi fans may not just start mourning their loss as they know the trend n with Balaji, she will make a glorious comeback...and we know when! Smiriti Irani will reappear post leap on 7 June. What's interesting is that no one will be shocked with this sudden turn of events (certainly not like Mihir's sudden demise) as now it's normal in TV shows to bring the news of the characters death and bring them back later. Sometimes even the character (Anuj Saxena in Kumkum as Jatin Wadhwa) whose dead body was shown on air is brought back! So Smriti is now due for some well deserved break from the only show that she did in the last five years! Filial bonding! Fireworks Productions, that production house that always manages to come up with something novel every time with its flagship show CID, has now managed to rope in lead protagonist Shivaji Satam's real life son Abhijit into one of the episodes. Father and son bonded exceptionally well during the shoot in a suburban Mumbai studio where the shoot was on this week. But Abhijit's connection with the show doesn't end here. Apparently, when the show began, almost a decade ago, ACP Pradyuman's subordinates were to be called by their real names, Daya (Dayanand Shetty) and Aditya (Aditya Srivastav). That's when someone mooted the idea that Aditya be called Abhijit, after Satam's son. And that's how, the two trusted lieutenants of the ACP, Daya and Abhijit, were born. True to the show, the real Abhijit makes it a point to catch every episode of CID. Now that's we call true bonding! TV stars in Ankahee - best left unsaid? We spotted four television actors in Vikram Bhatt's allegedly autobiographical flick Ankahee. Vikas Bhalla, (currently hamming his way through Shanno Ki Shaadi) has a miniscule (less than ten minutes) cameo as Esha Deol's former boyfriend. Bakul Thacker (currently seen in Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka) plays a two minute forgettable role of a director of an ad film guy. Also seen in a relatively small part is Dipak Qazir, who plays Esha's secretary. But it is Ashwini Kalsekar (heiress apparent to Ramola Sikand as Jigyasa in Zee's Kasamh Se) who has a good and prominent role as Shilpa, a friend who stands by Ameesha Patel in her time of crisis. We wonder why Vikas and Bakul even thought of taking on these micro roles in this film. Are these expressions of unfulfilled Bollywood careers? Is Achint television's favourite replacement vamp? Achint Kaur has replaced two of the most high profile vamps on television - Mandira in Kyunki...and Pallavi in Kahaani... She's turning out to be a quite a show stopper in both the shows. Everyone is liking her performance as the negative strength in these primetime shows. It seems she has become the lucky mascot for Balaji. We are sure Shweta Kawaatra and Mandira Bedi must be wondering what if they had continued in their respective shows.....and we are also sure her performance must be keeping Tassnim, Shubhavi, Urvashi Dholakia, Sudha Chandran on their toes. Notice that all these characters are Ekta Kapoor creations!
