Tina Parakh (or Kahaani's.... Shruti) is quite a short gal, compared to her contemporaries, but the sporting lass doesn’t take it as a minus point.
“If you are short, you look younger," reasons the girl. "Most actresses like Rani Mukherji and Amisha Patel are short too! I have no issues with my height. I have been paired opposite extremely tall boys. And, except for the master shots, my height is never an issue.”
We like your honesty, Tina. Wish others shared your virtues....

Karishma disowns Dosti!
Karishma Tanna made a hurried entry into Bollywood with the Bobby Deol Akshay Kumar starrer, Dosti, where she had 'a blink and you miss her' kind of a role! The lady understandably prefers to keep mum about the whole experience. Our sources tell us that Karishma took up the offer because the temptation of working with a huge star cast and big banner was something that she could not resist.
"I play Bobby Deol's sister and simply don't know why I took up the offer but it is the biggest mistake of my life to do the film," sighs Karishma who is currently busy with Paalki. Here's hoping the actor learns from her mistakes and is careful about her next venture in Bollywood.
Kasautii Shweta Ma Ki!
Shweta Tiwari is balancing her family and work quite well. She is an actor, wife, daughter-in-law and above all a loving mother who has become a pet lover only for the sake of her daughter. Shweta Tiwari has two pomeranian dogs at home. “I took in dogs because my daughter Palak is very fond of pets. We have named the pomeranians Pixie and Sweetu and they have been with us for two years now,” says Shweta.
Shweta should take them on the sets of Kasautii...and enjoy their company...atleast it will keep her away from all the bitching!
Kulraj ki Mannat
Kulraj Kaur of Kareena Kareena fame has completed a Punjabi film titled Mannat based on a true story. She plays the main lead opposite Jimmy Shergill. The film is being produced by BAG films and will also star Kanwaljit, Deep Dhillon and Manav Vij.
"It was great shooting for the film and it is a love story based in Punjab besides the script is beautiful and technically sound. It is totally different from what I have done in Kareena Kareena," says the beautiful Kulraaj who is getting film offers from big banners but will take some time before signing on anything new.
The film will be ready for release by April and is aimed at the film festivals.
Walking tall
Sandeep Rajora (last seen in Kareena Kareena??), has reportedly won ten lakh rupees while competing in AXN's forthcoming Fear Factor. Of course, he was also recently in the news for his alleged break up with girlfriend Kavita Kaushik.
But not many know that once, not so long ago, Sandeep shot to fame by winning the title of Mr. Pune in the Gladrags model hunt in the beginning of his career.
Another distinction to Sandeep's credit is that he is possibly the tallest actor on Indian television, walking tall at six feet and two and a half inches.
With brothers Ronit and Rohit Roy currently out of the Sarrkkar script, Sandeep is enjoying his moment in the spotlight as Mauli Ganguly's husband. At least one person isn't praying for the Roy brothers' swift return, we are sure.
Bhavana Balsaver runs for animals!
When the entire city is geared up for the marathon fever here is our celeb, who sees this race as an opportunity to help. Bhavana Balsaver (currently doing the serial Home Sweet Home on Zee Smile) will be running the Mumbai Marathon on 15 January for the cause of Animal Welfare.
"In the application we were asked if we'd like to run for charity... I thought it was a good idea. Whether it's me or the organisation that we believe in, there should be people around who voice opinions for the animals, I want to be the voice of the animals. Everyone talks about the problem but I want to be the solution. The marathon has given me a chance to put forward a helping hand for hundreds of animals," says Bhavana.
