Supriya's double trouble!
Supriya Pathak, who plays Hansa in Star One's popular comedy, Instant Khichadi will appear in a double role in the serial's forthcoming episodes! Hansa, has been an embarrassment for the Parikh parivaar since the serial started. She is the object of ridicule due to her scant or should we say lack of knowledge of the queen's language. This double take spells more trouble for the Pathaks'.

'Shararat' goes outdoors!
The cast and crew of Star Plus's popular serail Shararat will soon be going outdoors! Primarily shot indoors, this is only the second time that the members of this very naughty 'witchy' family moves out of the security of their home. The family had gone out last year around this time to shoot in Goa. This time however, it will be aamchi Mumbai. They will shoot for two days in Jogeshwari East --- the reason - the whole family's going out on a camping trip!
Mallika brings oomph to Batliwalla household!
Mallika Sherawat sure has a soft spot for Star One shows...or should we say it's fun lovin' producer JD Majethia that she is fond of! After a yet-to-be-aired cameo in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Mallika is now all set to appear in JD's other show on Sony, Batliwalla, House No. 43. Famous for her sex appeal, the show will test Mallika's comic skills to the T. Mallika has already shot for an episode that features her as a conwoman who cheats the suave Maya in Sarabhai...She will appear in the show to promote her forthcoming film, Bachke Rehna Re Baba. Summer sure looks hot on telly this summer!
Bai, anyone?
Smriti Irani has been looking for a maid to look after her household chores…for quite some time now. At a recent press conference, she was even heard asking journalists to find a suitable 'bai' for her. Sorry Smritiji, but we are fairly sure journos have better things to do! Smriti also claims that after a busy day's shoot, she goes back home and cooks for her hubby and her children...tough task, we say, to manage home and career...but then she isn't Tulsi' Smriti Irani for nothing, is she!
'Raat Hone Ko Hai' goes thematic
B P Singh's show on Sahara One, Raat Hone Ko Hai will now be based on different themes every week. From urban legends to seasons, the themes will be as varied as they come, including an episode on the monsoon!. The serial completes one year on 10 May and the unit plans to celebrate in style with a shoot in Goa.
We also hear that Singh might just take a sabbatical from thrillers and venture into comedies and other genres. Although things are still under consideration, we know for a fact that he will not do soaps. Remember, we were the first one to tell you this well guarded secret!
K Sera Sera to launch new show on Sony
K Sera Sera, the production house that has tied up with Ramgopal Varma's Factory for movie productions, is now coming up with a lighthearted comedy on the lines of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 80s hit Khoobsurat. The Rekha starrer, when released, gave the dusky beauty a completely different image and made her a household name. The K Sera Sera show on the same theme will be aired on Sony. Who will play Rekha? Things are really hush-hush...but watch this space for more.......
