There seems to be some issue on the sets of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms).
What are we getting at?
Well, according to our sources there lies some undercurrent tension between the two male actors of the show, Shakti Arora (Dr Onir) and Rithvik Dhanjani (Arjun).
The latter is said to be insecure about the former getting more prominence in the ongoing track and also because of the popularity he is getting on the sets due to his tarot carding reading abilities (Tellychakkar.com has carried an article on the same).
However, when we spoke to Rithvik he said, “This is for the first time I am hearing such news. Honestly, there is no issue between us. Shakti is a darling, we hardly shoot together but whatever little we have done has resulted in a great professional relationship between us.”
Rithvik added, “We both have simultaneous parallel tracks in Pavitra Ristha. May be because two guys are cast opposite the same girl (Asha Negi), people assume that there must be some tension. Normally when two female co-stars have similar characters and same billing in any show, there is rivalry. It does not happen so much with guys though. Luckily for us there is no such friction as our characters (I am a NRI business man, and he is doctor) are not similar.”
Rithvik also clears the air regarding his alleged jealousy about Shakti’s tarot reading skills. “I have heard he is very good at it and few other related things. But I don’t believe in them and frankly I am not comfortable dabbling with occult science either. The above rumour you state must have flown when I must have told some people that I am scared of tarot, black magic.”
In closing, on his part the talented actor, who is also hosting Zee TV’s India’s Best Dramebaaz, averred, “In fact, Shakti is the first guy tarot card reader that I know of. Normally it is done by girls. Till now we have not talked about it but I will call him now and ask who his clients are and also tell him to never try it on me (laughs).”
Next, we called up Shakti and his version was: “We are great pals. We don’t have any competition as he has a fan following of young girls and mine are mature (laughs). As far as tarot goes, I am glad to know that I am the only male reader. Normally, cooking is said to be women’s domain but some of the best chefs in the world are men.”
So what is his take on Rithvik not being much fond of tarot reading? “It is a personal choice as not everybody likes to know about what will happen tomorrow as that takes away the fun of life.”
Well, Rithvik and Shakti…next time when you both meet, throw a hi-five at each other!!!
