The name's his claim to fame

We don't know if Tony and Deeya Singh consulted anyone when they gave Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin its title, but we do know that the duo have the blessings of Sanjay Jumaani for its next venture.
We don't know if Tony and Deeya Singh consulted anyone when they gave Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin its title, but we do know that the duo have the blessings of Sanjay Jumaani for its next venture. DJ's, the company floated by the Singhs, will debut its next big show on Sony soon. And although neither Tony, Deeya nor Jumaani are willing to reveal the name of the new serial, Jumaani confirms that the two had come to him recently to get his approval and the title appropriately tweaked. Jumaani definitely has his hands full. He recently named a Balaji serial, Kalyani, for a South Indian channel, and is busy advising Gaurang Doshi and Vipul A Shah on the names of their new film ventures. Sarrkaar's going abroad!c Whether its been able to pull in the viewers here is debatable, but Zee seems content enough with the Manish Goswami creation to decide to launch Sarrkar on its Middle East feed. The entire Sarrkar cast, we hear, is being carted to Dubai on 27 July for a lavish launch there. The serial, based loosely on incidences and characters inspired by the Gandhi family, promised much, but has been a dampener thus far. Promising performances by the likes of Rohit Roy and Mauli Ganguly aside, the story has been meandering, despite potential. Mauli, by the way, may not be interested in making it to the Dubai launch, a little bird tells us.Will Sarrkar click overseas? The much needed 'foreign connection' in the story, might just help! 'Piya Ka Ghar' welcomes two new members The Zee show that was recently in news due to Narayani's exit as Megha has roped in two new faces to complete the hate triangle with Koel taking the lead! Megha, disguised as Koel (Gargi Sharma) has returned to the Sharma household and she is helped by the evil twin brother-sister duo Mahaan(Sandeep Bhasali) and Mantra(Kanika Maheshwari) the kids of Avinash & his one time flame Shweta). Mahaan and Mantra are brought up by Durgashankar, the family foe (Bhavanishankar's brother). Influenced by Durga's thoughts, the kids (Mahaan and Mantra) are out to avenge the traumatic life they and their mother has gone through and are using Koel as their pawn. 'Sarrkar'..What could have been! Neena Gupta, Shweta Kawatra and Nikki Aneja --- no I am not giving you the cast of a new serial. We hear that they were part of the original cast of Zee's political saga, Sarrkar. Neena Gupta was to play Divya Seth's character, mother of Ronit and Rahul Roy; Shweta Kawatra was to play Shweta Salve's character and Nikki was to play Tisca's role. The only actress who seemed to have survived the pilot is Mouli Ganguli who plays the distressed daughter of the family. If the present cast is anything to go by, the original cast could be called a master coup of sorts. Why did Manish let go of this amazing cast…Only God knows…and of course Manish knows too. Oops! We goofed up.... Remember the story we broke about Rakesh Bapat joining television? (Click here for related story) . Well, we said that the serial might be called Run or Saloni...well we were wrong. We stand corrected. It's called Rang, and this we have got from reliable source. But the funny part perhaps just begins here. Just after we put the story up, our print and electronic brethren picked it up and flashed it with aplomb...some said that the serial was called Run/Saloni and a televion gossip show, said the show was called Run and Saloni (wonder what that means). Our sincere apologies to all those whom we have misguided. Party...wait till I am 30! Urvashi Dholakia refuses to throw a birthday bash quite so soon. When we ask her about her birthday celebrations, she says, “I am not in Mumbai and will be back late evening. I have not planned anything for my birthday. But I will throw a big bash once I am 30 as most of my friends are waiting for me to get to thirty," she adds laughingly. [V] make music too! Bappi Lahiri, Adesh Srivastav, Sandesh Shandilya, Irshad Kamil....not bad for an audience when you are cutting your first album, eh? That's what [V]'s Super Singer Ravindra had when he performed on the occasion of the release of his first album at Planet M in suburban Mumbai this week. Ravindra performed three songs from the album, Baanke Lal (pee pee horn maarein), Mukammaland Hulchul.
