Badshah is doing what he accused Honey of: Indeep Bakshi on plagiarism

Badshah, Honey & Indeep Bakshi

Indeep Bakshi became a sensation with his involvement in the chartbuster singles like Saturday Saturday and Kaala Chashma. The singer is back in news due to his upcoming reality show, A Date To Remember. Indeep is not just producing the show but also will be a mentor cum judge in the reality series. If all of this buzz is not enough then the Delhi based singer is also slaying internet with his recently carved hot body. His sculpted body has become a talk of social media.

TellyChakkar caught up with the handsome hunk for an exclusive conversation. While the auditions for his reality show are on, Indeep shares his thoughts in a candid conversation.

Excerpts from the interview

The dating show is currently on floors. Along with Indeep the series stars Prince Narula, Yuvika Chaudhary, Manu Punjabi and Nitibha Kaul. Ask Indeep what prompted him to take this project and he replies, “I’ve got many offers but my choice and vision were different. The concept of this show is youth oriented. It’s a full on entertainment show and MTV is the best way to connect to the youth.”

How Indeep looked when he shot one for the chart buster 'Saturday Saturday' and how he looks now is an inspiring transformation. Despite having such an Oh la la physique, Indeep’s transformation is not as known to the mass as Diljit's. Point this out to him and Indeep has a quick response in his chilled way. “I appreciated Diljit for following the tough regime however he has got more acclaim because of the number of his followers. It’s all about numbers. He is the talk of the town and that is the reason he is noticed no matter what he does. Nonetheless, I will be a singer with 10 packs soon.”

Indeep’s song Saturday Saturday became a part of 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'(2014), it became an indispensable part of all DJ parties across the country. However, it also created a rift between Indeep and Badshah over a copyright issue. “I didn’t consider singing as a profession; it was just a passion. But Badshah was completely into it. He was aware what was to be done when and where. It was just about credits which were not given to me. It should have been but later I realised it was too late. Then we decided to work individually. Now, whether I release singles or tracks for films, they will only feature me.” He further adds, “I also, had a tough time fighting for the credits of 'Kala Chashma' in Baar Baar Dekho as I came to know that the rap bits of the song, were taken from the song 'Don't Look At Me' from my album, 'Billionaire' and was recreated by Badshah.”

Later on, Zee Music did give credits to the rapper who is now conscious of his decisions. “They can steal one or two songs but not every other song that I’ll make. Badshah is doing the same thing with me that happened to him when he accused Honey Singh (In the past Badshah accused Honey for plagiarizing his songs without giving credits).

coming back to his TV debut, his show will see popular names like Prince and Yuvika who are quite popular in amongst the youth. However, this doesn’t create any kind of insecurities in the head of Indeep. “I would say, every celeb has his-her fan following and the popularity is just on the basis of one’s personality is. Prince and Yuvika both are just awesome. The only difference is maximum people already know about them unlike me but I take it in a positive way. So, you never know you might be asking the same question to someone else by putting my name instead of Prince and Yuvika. Plus during one of the auditions, people did come to me and said that ‘we want to be in your team Indeep sir,’ so there’s no point that I will be insecure of them,” Indeep concluded.
