MUMBAI: Nishant Malkani became immensely popular with his character portrayal of Akshat Jindal in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. The actor later participated in Bigg Boss 14 and is now seen playing the lead in Dangal TV’s Rakshabandhan.
Nishant’s Guddan co-star and good friend Kanika Mann, who he was also rumoured to be dating, are no longer on talking terms. We asked Nishant what went wrong between Kanika and him. He replied, “We both are very busy with our respective work, so we aren't in touch with each other.”
What is your relationship status now? “Now is a time in my life when I'm not really interested in dating anyone. When the right time arrives, I'll declare it myself. I don't want to reveal much about my relationship right now.”

There were rumours about you and Nyra Banerjee dating. Are they true? “No, Nyra and I have known each other for the past 6 years and she's just a good friend of mine. These kinds of rumours are the reason why I prefer not revealing much about myself right now. Once things are concrete with someone, I'll announce it myself.”
What more is going on in your personal life? “I really don't get much time for myself due to my work. I just go to work and then hit the gym. In fact, I do want a day for myself when I can just relax a bit.”
