Vindu Dara Singh’s words rang true when he won the title of Bigg Boss season three. He had said that the show was made for him and that is the reason why he was confident from day one that he would eventually win the show. He admits that it was because of his good friend Akshay Kumar he could be part of the show.” I have been following this show from the past two years and somehow I always had the feeling that I am a perfect fit for this show. However I did not know how to participate. It was then that Akshay Kumar introduced me to the right people from the channel. Therefore I was pretty sure from day one that I would win this show.” But then despite having survived for weeks on the show he was scared of elimination. ” I was nominated six times and it was due to the janta’s support that I did not go out. But when a person like Vinod Kambli who is a well-known cricketer was eliminated I thought that let me not be over- confident. And from that moment I thought I could also be thrown out. When people like Bakhtiyar were nominated along with me I knew that he does not deserve to be here, so he will surely go out. But the audience voted Tanaaz out who was a better player than him.” He still considers that the competition was only between him and Poonam and that Pravesh had made it to the finals only because of Claudia. “Few days before the finale I started gelling well with Poonamji. She is a great lady. She conducted herself so well that I thought she may win this show. Pravesh had no chance of winning this show at all. He made it to the end only because of Claudia.” Clarifying that he is no cry-baby in real life Vindu says,” I have never cried this much in my life. I am a very emotional person and the last time I cried was when I saw Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. We were inside the house for such a long time and whenever I saw Amitji tears would automatically roll down my cheeks. My emotional outburst was due to the fact that no one was trust worthy over there.” So is Rs one crore a big amount for him? ”This is the first time in my career that I earned such a big amount in one go. I have not thought about what I am going to do with this money. I want to share this money with the rest of the housemates as they should not feel left out.” Talking about where his career will now be headed Vindu says,” My career will also get a boost like that of Shilpa Shetty (post Big Brother). I am ready to work in any kind of shows and even in films. I will ensure that I will keep on working after this big win. Politics is not my cup of tea. My father has tried it and it is not easy to be there. So for the time being it is not an option for me.”
