KOLKATA: Actress Subadra, who is playing one of the lead protagonists in the upcoming comedy soap Satyameva Jayati, says that she is glad that she got the opportunity of making people laugh.

Produced by Eyewash, Satyameva Jayati, which will be aired on Colors Bangla, will see Subadra as Satyapriya Singho, who is a constable.

“I am really happy that I am a part of this comedy show which aims to make people laugh,” Subadra said to TellyChakkar when asked how happy she is to do this soap.

“Doctors say that laughing adds years to your lifespan and I will try to increase people’s life span. I am taking an oath that we will try to erase negativity and make people positive with the positivity of our show,” she quipped with a big smile.

Subadra said that she feels like a messenger by being a part of Satyameva Jayati.

“I feel like a messenger. Via this show, I will be giving a message to the audience. The show will not just tickle the funny bone of the audience but also covey some positive and educative messages through its funny stories,” said the actress.

“By being a part of this show, it feels nice to be able to convey those messages. It feels as if I am doing something (good) for the people of the country,” she signed off.

Satyameva Jayati will start from 30 April and air every Monday to Sunday at 6 pm.
