I would rather do a less paying Marathi show than a well paying Hindi one:Pallavi Subhash

Pallavi Subhash's last show Basera failed badly. The much hyped show with a big star cast did nothing for the channel and also failed to attract viewers. Now Pallavi is back again with Sony TV's Godh Bharai based on a social issue. In a chat with TellyChakkar, she talks about her shows, her love life and a lot more. Tell us something about Godh Bharai

Tell us something about Godh Bharai Godh Bharai is about Aastha and her inability to bear a child. The show is based on a very unique concept of adoption and how a sterile woman is looked down upon in the society. Aastha has a very supportive husband and a good family and she is very attached to all of them. I didn't think twice before agreeing to do this show. I have some friends who are going through this problem, read about such cases in newspapers and magazines. I am aware how big this issue is and how these women are treated in this society. Adopting a baby is not a bad idea but here in our society adoption is not looked at very positively. I am sure this show will be able to give something new to this society. What do you personally think about adoption? It's a very practical and happy decision to adopt a baby. Those who cannot have their own baby can go for adoption and childless couples are now very open with the idea of adopting a child. I know a few people who have adopted a child and are very happy with their decision. We have Sushmita Sen who has adopted two babies and takes them everywhere she goes. Motherhood makes a woman complete and it's not necessary that the baby should be your own. An adopted baby too makes you complete. You come from Marathi cinema, how would you compare it with Hindi films? I have been doing Marathi cinema for 8-10 years now. Hindi cinema is much more professional but I feel that they lack a good story. Marathi cinema has far better stories and also has a very homely atmosphere. Marathi cinema is blessed with good shows and I am lucky that I have been part of them. Marathi is my mother tongue and I am very happy and comfortable doing shows there. I would consider taking up a Marathi show that's paying less rather than a Hindi show that's paying more! Basera was launched with fanfare. What went wrong? When I was approached by Sagar Arts I was told that they were doing a Baghban on television. I was roped in for Hema Malini's character and I was too happy to take up a prime time show on a very happening channel. But the show didn't work and went off-air in just six months. I have no complaints at all from the Basera team because they did their best. Even the actors gave their best but it didn't work out. I don't know what exactly went wrong with the show. Some say that the story of the show didn't work, some blamed the casting. But I have no idea what really went wrong. Any offers from Ekta Kapoor? Yes, she had called me twice but I was too busy at that time. She had also offered me the first episode of 'Koi Aane Ko Hai', but I could not take it up as I was busy with other shows. Now I have taken Godh Bharai and have no time for any other shows. She hasn't called me for any of her new shows that she is planning. When are you planning to get married? I am just 25 and have a long way to go. Marriage is not happening anytime soon but yes I am dating someone for the past 5 years. I would not like to reveal his name but he is not from the Hindi film industry. I don't think this is the right time to talk about him.
