Avinash Sachdev, known for his character of Dev Purohit in Choti Bahu on Zee TV, considers working for shows that measure quality over quantity. He is a keen investor in matters of property and always goes in for a good investment. He is such a confident man that he finds himself to be secure even in a financially crunch situation. In a question answer session, Tellychakkar.com asks him to detail about his moolah interests. How important is money to you? Frankly speaking, money is very important in all aspects of life. Since I am a strong believer in quality of work and not quantity, money, which comes through quality work, is the kind of purchase I get into. Are you an impulsive buyer? No, not really. But I like to buy what catches my eyes. What are the investments that you have made so far? Till now, I have invested in my flat, two cars. I even have one fashion store in Malad (Mumbai). These have been my investments so far. What has been your most expensive purchase till date? The flat in which I stay in. Are you financially secured? Yes, I always consider myself to be financially secure so much so that even if I don’t have money, I don’t feel insecure. Who handles your expenses? I handle all my expenses. What was your first salary like? I worked as a courier guy for one day for which I was paid Rs. 500. How much money do you carry every day? I don’t keep a check on the amount of money I carry on a daily basis. Any advice for wannabe investors? According to me, one must invest more in land and property because it is an area which doesn’t see much of a fluctuation. And one should always prefer investing money outside Mumbai because properties outside Mumbai are more beneficial when it comes to returns.
