I can carry anything except a corset: Riddhi Dogra

Riddhi Dogra who plays one of the protagonists in Maryada Lekin Kab Tak knows fashion in and out. Riddhi who has been a fashion director for Zoom, shares her fashion-fundas with TellyChakkar. Fashion is: Comfort is my first priority. Comfort and elegance are important for me. I don’t follow trends. I prefer the cuts of any garment rather than how flashy it is. Who chooses your clothes? I love to shop alone. Do you wear accessories? I like them a lot. I like to wear accessories on simple outfits. They can enhance a simple look. I like neck pieces, hair pieces, nail-stuff and bangles a lot. I don’t like to wear earrings at all. As I have thick hair, any ear-piece goes unnoticed. Do you follow any brands? I am not a brand person. As I have worked as a fashion director earlier, I like to mix and match, so I always prefer styling more than just wearing a ready garment. I have many clothes from Zara. It’s a staple for me. I used to like Mango earlier but now it’s Zara. It feels awesome to mix-n-match things, I just love it. Favourite shopping destination: The Dubai festival. I go crazy shopping there. Even if you send me to Benaras and Hrishikesh, I will get good dhotis from there. So basically, I like to shop different kinds of clothes from different locations. I keep collecting unique pieces from everywhere. Most expensive buy: I bought a Louis Vuitton jacket worth Rs 30,000. Clothes you are comfortable in: I am comfortable mostly in jeans, tees and tunics. I am not a typical girly-type. I really am not comfortable wearing a short-skirt though now I do manage to wear one sometimes. But one thing I definitely can’t carry off is a corset, I just can’t handle them and I don’t even need to (smiles). Favourite designer: I like Ashish Soni, Rina Dhaka as her clothes are fun to wear. You will look sexy and elegant wearing her pieces, without looking vulgar. Must-have in your wallet: Money and plastic money and my driver’s license. I carry a wallet just for that. I carry the rest in my bag. I need to have my I-touch as I am very much a music person, also my lip-balm, perfume, face-mist etc… Favourite perfume: My perfume is my trademark. I always use Clinique Happy Heart. Colour that fills your wardrobe: Sadly, I am a very black person (smiles). I like to wear black all the time.
