Humsafar's Director Sarmad Khoosat's acting debut on Zindagi

He is the one who introduced us to Asher & Khirad in Humsafar; as a master craftsman, sailed us through the trials and tribulations in their complicated married life and made us fall in love with Mahira Khan through her affectionate & na?ve portrayal of Khirad. And now, Sarmad Khoosat, the man behind the biggest blockbuster on Zindagi – Humsafar, is all set to prove his mettle as an actor in Zindagi’s latest offering ‘Meri Talaash’.

The show which has been written by critically acclaimed writer Amna Mufti, will see Sarmad playing the character of Faheem – a mentally unstable man who has his moments of insanity & confusion as well as sanity & deep intellect. Faheem is a highly educated man, who loses his mental balance after an unfortunate event takes place in his life. Although unruly most of the times, Faheem is often seen reciting verses from William Shakespeare’s works.

Talking about his character, Sarmad said, “I enjoyed playing Faheem greatly. He is the Frankenstein of the family and his character is off beat and interesting. The show is an absolute must watch and is extremely intense and thrilling.”

We have seen him creating magic from behind the camera in Humsafar, but whether Sarmad will be able to make waves with his acting debut in India, only time will tell. For now, we can only wish him all the best for Meri Talaash!
