A young entrepreneur Suman (Nikita Dutta) is a submissive niece to her uncle and aunt, who have brought her up after her parents’ death. But is a feisty businesswoman Sumo when she’s at her tiffin service join in Delhi.
Her contrasting personalities, which change with situations, is a shout-out to all women who balance various roles without batting an eyelid.
The first episode gives us a glimpse of her daily life, which oscillates between her tiffin joint and her family…thrown in the mix of things is her USA visa, which has been approved…indicating a new beginning for the female lead.
While the show has typical antagonist characters and a girl who can take up anything, there’s something certainly promising about the storyline.
We know, via the promos, that she meets her childhood crush, but he brushes her off. We are waiting for that epic confrontation where Suman realizes that she is more than her affections, she is more than just a validation.
Every girl is a variation of Suman and Sumo aka the submissive ‘beti’ at home and a fiercely independent ‘boss’ in the outside world. Nikita shines in her role. She is effortlessly believable. We have to wait and watch how she takes the story ahead with her skills.
Sony TV’s upcoming ‘hatke’ love story- Ek Duje Ke Vaste will be lapped by audiences, especially the female ones. We already know that Suman (Nikita Dutta) has a mean set of uncle-aunt, but she respects them nevertheless. Her demeanour in the outside world…in her small catering business…is of a badass taskmaster.
This delightful combo has already fetched the series a fan in this writer. Her quest to pay off her mother’s debt, along with making things right with a childhood buddy form the crux of this interesting show.
