A fan calls Sourav Ganguly ‘baccha Dada’; find out WHY

Sourav Ganguly has a massive fan following.

MUMBAI: It is a known fact that former national cricket team captain and present BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) President Sourav Ganguly is affectionately known as Dada.  'The Prince of Calcutta' is massively popular among his fans and they love to keep a track of his life.

His fans are emotionally attached to him.

Sourav Ganguly is one of the best captains India has ever produced. From his era, Indians started to believe that the team can win matches and series in overseas conditions and against the best teams of the world on a consistent manner.

Needless to say, his cricket journey inspires many. In fact, some started playing cricket because of him.

So, when ‘Dada’ shared a picture from his younger days, fans became emotional. The classic picture sees a very young Sourav undergoing training at Lords in 1996.

“Memories .. training at Lords day before my test debut in 1996,” the cricketer wrote beside the picture.

As soon as his post hit social media, fans got nostalgic and started pouring love on him.

One fan commented, “And the next day best cricketer in world was born with bang.”

Another said, “begining of a legendary tale.”

In addition to this, another highlight of the comment section is the usage of the word Dada by his fans. We came across comments like ‘Dada is dada’, ‘Once a Dada... always a Dada’, ‘Dada miss you indian tem’. As the picture sees a younger Sourav, one fan even called him a ‘baccha Dada’.
