MUMBAI: How do you react when you come across celebrities who have the same last names? You begin to wonder ‘are they related?’! Isn’t it? Well, celebrities Mohammad Kaif and Katrina Kaif were once the talk of the town for their last names.

Previously, due to a common surname, many speculated if they are related.

If speculations were not enough, a fan had even trolled Kaif for the same. However, the cricketer gave a befitting reply to the troll.

It happened during an #AskKaif session. The cricketer had organized the session on Twitter wherein fans could ask him questions.

A troll had asked, “Sir are you related to Katrina Kaif ? If not, then do you think there’s a chance in the future ? ”

In response, the cricketer wrote wittily, “Not related yet :) Baaki, already happily married . But heard an interesting story of how Katrina got her surname Kaif, according to that story it has a connection with my name”.

Well, according to reports, Katrina Kaif's surname was changed from Turquotte to Kaif in her debut film Boom. In an interview, Boom's co-producer Ayesha Shroff had said, "We wanted to give her a surname which would be accepted by the Indian audience." Interestingly, rumour has it that Katrina took the last name Kaif as the cricketer was famous back then. However, if reports are to be believed, the actress’ father's name is Mohammad Kaif who is of Kashmiri origin.

Speaking about cricketer Mohammad Kaif, he is happily married to Pooja Yadav Kaif. They got married in 2011 and are blessed with two kids.
