MUMBAI: The mention of India or a glimpse of Indian things swells our hearts with pride. Isn’t it? So when Former West Indies batsman posted a picture of a mouth-watering Indian dish on his Instagram handle, netizens were amused as well as elated. One fan was so happy with the post that he thanked him ‘for respecting and eating Indian food’.
It so happened that Brian Lara was trying his best to eat healthy but it seems he could not resist gorging on a delicious Indian dish. He has not just shared the picture of his plate but also mentioned the names of the food items.
Today, he took to his Instagram page and shared the post. Alongside the picture, he wrote, “Trying my best to eat healthy but couldn’t resist the closest to a Trini potato roti with mango chutney. @patrajroti #shianns
Channa paratha, aloo chokha, kachhi Keri and hari mirchi chutney.”

It seems netizens were excited to see the former international cricketer talking about an Indian dish. One social media user wrote, ‘thanks for respecting and eating indian food.’ Another social media user even claimed that after trying South Indian food he would never go back to West Indies. ‘Try south Indian food!! u never goes back to WI again,’ read the comment.
