Sonali Nikam, the leading lady on Aadhe Adhoore, is fast becoming a popular face. The show that is as intriguing as it is addictive, airs on Zindagi from Monday to Saturday at 9.50 pm has become the topic of conversation in every household. Aadhe Adhoore has also gotten the lead actress Sonali public recognition and admiration for her portrayal of the lead character Jassi, a new age woman who is in touch with her deeper self, knows who she is and is not apologetic about it.  Her depiction of a woman caught in the midst of a complex love triangle has made every woman get up and take notice and perhaps wonder what she would do if in her shoes.

The actress has been getting recognised whenever she steps out. In fact, on a recent shopping spree at Mumbai’s trendy Lokhandwala market, Sonali was the centre of attraction with a lot of people recognizing her as Jassi and wanting to interact with her. Sonali happily obliged a group of fans who approached her, with selfies requests and wanting to know what it was like working on the show. 

Intrigued by the fact that so many people followed the show, Sonali too asked the fans a couple of questions about the show, only to find out that they followed the show regularly. While the reaction to Jassi & Viren’s relationship was mixed, a lot of the fans actually identified with Sonali’s character on the show, with many even saying that they secretly wanted them to end up together.

Pleased that the fans appreciated her performance on the show, Sonali said, “The show has definitely captured the audience’s attention with its unusual story. Even my mother and my family members are hooked on to the show. It gives me immense happiness that a lot of people actually follow the show quite regularly. It must definitely means that we are doing something interesting with the show.”
