MUMBAI: Sanjeeda was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi and her performance won many hearts. The actress has also been in the news for her divorce with actor Aamir Ali. In a recent interview, actress Sanjeeda Shaikh discussed how certain spouses demotivate their better halves and that it's best to avoid them. In response to her remarks, which had her admirers wondering if she was talking about her ex-husband Aamir Ali, the latter declared that he opposes washing his dirty laundry in public.

Sanjeeda and Aamir separated five years ago, so it wouldn't be accurate to presume that anything she said was directed at him because she might have dated someone else in the meanwhile.
He went on to refer to his marriage to Sanjeeda as a "old story." he revealed, “I know what I went through in that separation period and what happened to me. But washing dirty linen in public is not my class. I’ve never put anyone down and I never will, especially who I have shared a relationship with.”
On the Kya Dil Mein Hai set, Aamir and Sanjeeda fell in love. They dated for a while before getting married in 2012. They used surrogacy to welcome their first child, a baby girl, in 2018. But the pair filed for divorce in 2021 after announcing their separation in 2020.
In a recent interview Sanjeeda said, “You take a call for your life and that’s what I did for myself, because I started loving myself and I started prioritising myself and that is very, very important.”
