Is Aarakshan under the scanner?

Armano Ka Balidan - Aarakshan that had two new entries has been under the scanner for quite some time now. A source says, “The channel has not been very pleased with the ratings of the show and hence, they have already given it a notice period. And, this is something that happened even before Dolly Bindra and Supriya Kumari entered the show. The new track was brought in to garner some TRPs. This did bring in a marginal difference but was not encouraging enough.” Ask producer Ravindra Gautam if the show was under the scanner by the channel, he says, “Not at all it’s doing ok as far as the TRP is concerned. It’s not on the top but story-wise it’s doing well for the channel and I can say its ratings haven’t gone down.” Gautam says the new entries were not made to garner any ratings. “The show has done little better but it’s not because of the new entries. We had to make a change in the track as we had completed 60 episodes and the new entries were always planned.” On why he selected Bindra he says, “We knew that she would do justice to the story and hence we thought of bringing her in. If the show had to be going off-air why would we make such a huge investment?” Supriya said, “I do not know about any notice being given to the channel but the TRP of the show has got better now.” We believe you, Supriya.
