Adhikaris launch Mastiii; Raju disappoints with his disappearing act!

The original makers of comedy Sri Adhikari Brothers who have had a huge role in making SAB TV what it is today have finally launched their new channel, Mastiii. This 24 hr free-to-air channel promises a generous dose of comedy and music to viewers with a host of one-minute fillers to tickle your funny bones. The channel claims to give viewers wholesome entertainment for those tired of the ever-lasting soaps and sagas. Seventy five per cent of the content on the channel would be music while the remaining would be one-minute gags and acts. Says Anita Varma, Associate VP, “Music is an element of universal joy, as is humour; at ‘Mastiii’ we hope to offer non-stop fun by combining these elements.” The channel has roped in Raju Srivastava as its brand ambassador. Several stand up comedians like Sunil Pal, Shailesh Lodha, Kiku, Suresh Menon, Sugandha Mishra, Howard Rosemeyer among others will be seen entertaining the audiences. Meanwhile, the media at the press conference seemed to enjoy the little fillers by Sunil Pal and Raju Srivastava though it was Shailesh Lodha who stole the show and had the entire hall in splits. But the most disappointing bit was the Raju’s disappearing act. After giving interviews to the electronic media, he ran away saying he was hungry keeping the print journos waiting! Not funny, Mr Srivastava, you may be the King of Comedy but we too have a job to do…So the next time, you want to evade the pen-pushers, why don’t you stay at home altogether instead of giving step-treatment to one section of the press!
