Aditya Narayan REVEALS his marriage plans, having a lockdown wedding and keeping his relationship under wraps for over a decade

MUMBAI: Television host and singer Aditya Narayan is soon getting married to the love of his life Shweta Agarwal. The duo met on the sets of their film Shaapit.

In a chat with TellyChakkar, Aditya revealed his marriage plans. He shared, “It will be a private affair because as per government rules we cannot exceed more than 50 people keeping the pandemic in mind. We are awaiting a response from the government authorities if we can exceed our guest list so accordingly, we can plan our wedding. For now, we have decided to get married in a temple. The wedding will happen in the first few weeks in December and I have to resume shooting for Indian Idol and there are few live shows lined-up.”

When asked if he is happy with the idea of a lockdown wedding having close knit affairs, he replied, “Like I said , I am a very private person and I am happy with having a close knit ceremony. But I am sure my parents wished to have a big fat wedding being the only child. But both the families are happy with the lockdown wedding decision and nothing else matters. I would rather use that money in helping needy people.”

What made him hide his relationship for so many years? “Well, Shweta and I have been together for 10 years now. I purposely kept my private life personal as I am a major feminist. If there is news about a boy dating several girls then he is considered to be a stud but when the same news is printed about a girl, she is called characterless. During the initial dating phase I used to indirectly confirm my dating news but later there were rubbish news being printed that Shweta and I fought on a road which had no iota of truth and left us disappointed. Hence, it was my conscious effort to not discuss my private life and keep my relationship away from media glare.”

 Well said Aditya!
