MUMBAI: It seems to be the season of remakes and comebacks on TV. TellyChakkar has exclusive information that would make the day of many. A reliable source informs TellyChakkar that talks are on for a third season of extremely popular and cult drama Sanjivani.
The show aired in 2002 on Star Plus. Now the channel wants to bring back the magic of the medical drama. A little birdie informs us that the project is currently at the planning stage and the casting will take much time.
If rumours are to be believed, Siddharth Malhotra, who was a part of Cinevistaas then, might helm the project under his newly formed banner Alchemy.
It will be the third season that will return on Star Plus. The sequel Dill Mill Gaye aired in 2007 on Star One and was a super-hit show. It was one of the most popular youth TV programs of its time. Popular actors like Karan S Grover, Jennifer Winget, Shilpa Anand, Sukirti Kandpal, and Karan Wahi became famous overnight courtesy of the daily soap.
Currently, Star is gearing up for the much-hyped reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay (KZK). If everything falls into place, this will be the third cult classic that will return on the GEC after Khichdi and KZK.
