Shweta Gulati, who rose to fame playing Tia in Star One’s Remix, later was seen in shows like Dill Mill Gayye (Star One) in which she played Dr. Nikita Malhotra and Amber Dhara (Sony TV), amongst others. She also hosted shows such as Zara Nachke Dikha on Star One along with Karan Singh Grover in 2008, made special appearances in Comedy Circus - Chinchpokli To China on (Sony Entertainment Television) and Comedy Circus Ke Superstars on Colors along with Kapil Sharma. She was last seen in SAB TV’s Gili Gili Gappa as Sandhya Shastri in 2010. As reported earlier, the gorgeous Shweta is all set to make a comeback after two years in Deepti Bhatnagar Production’s daily show Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar in which she has been cast opposite Arjun Bijlani. The show is to air on SAB TV. Tellychakkar.com spoke to the actress asking her of her whereabouts in the last two years. “I was very much here and had definitely not called it quits from the industry. I was shooting in Gurgaon for Kingdom of Dreams show Jhumroo. Now, for the fans who kept tweeting and mailing me to make a comeback on TV, here I am,” she replies. A source had earlier informed us that the plot of the show revolves around a newly married couple who do not get time for each other because of their busy schedule at work but spend time together while cooking. Ask her as to what interested her to do Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar and she answers, “What drove me to do this show is the concept. It is a reality cum fiction show which is something very different from what we see on television these days. It can be termed as a drama cum cookery show. I think it is a great concept,” she answers. So does the damsel cook in real life too? “I do cook occasionally but after returning back from shoot. But if someone asks me to do the kitchen chores, it would be a complete no-no.” We wish Shweta good luck entertaining us with new recipes everyday!!!
