MUMBAI: Aly Goni does not give up the opportunity to be candid during interviews. In a candid discussion with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa for their podcast, the actor who is now appearing in Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment talked candidly about turning down an offer of Rs 80 lakh during the IPL. Goni turned down an alcohol brand endorsement offer because of his mother.
Aly Goni admitted to Bharti and Haarsh in an open discussion that his business also led him to turn down major projects. He desires to give his business greater attention. Although he was given Rs 2.5 lakh a day for shows, he would have rather focused on developing his company.
Aly Goni said that he is doing Laughter Chefs only because it is a weekly shoot. Apart from that, the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor confessed to rejecting the Rs 80 lakh offer of alcohol brand endorsement during the IPL.
The actor said, “Main Jasmin aur meri family hum sab bethe hue thhe aur tab mujhe ek call aaya, unhone mujhe full IPL ki deal thi, 80 lakh rupees ki. Main Jammu mein tha, unhone kaha ke aapko full IPL, humare brand ki tshirt daal ni hai aur saamne sharab ka glass pada hoga, aap IPL dekh rahe ho aur wo p rahe ho aur promote kar rahe ho, jab jab us team ka match hoga.”
Aly Goni further added, “It takes courage to say no. Meri maa ne mujhe kaha tu sharab promote karega toh tujhe laat maar ke ghar se nikaal dungi. Tu sharab promote nahi karega, meri maa ne kaha. Maine kaha bhaad mein jaaye. Maine jaise hi na bola na, samne wala banda sochne laga hoga ke kaise naa boldiya.”
Aly Goni has contributed to several television shows, including Naagin 3, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. He took part in the shows Bigg Boss 14, Khatron Ke Khiladi - Made in India, and Nach Baliye 9. At the moment, he is dating Jasmin Bhasin. He has dated Natasa Stankovic, the ex-wife of Hardik Pandya, before her.
