Amitabh-Shatrughan reveal their 'dare-devil' secrets

History will be created on Indian television on 8th October at 8 PM as Zee TV brings together two living legends of Indian cinema for the very first time on the first episode of the new series hosted by Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. Sharing sepia-toned memories and heartwarming anecdotes from a friendship that spans over four decades is a special jodi fans haven’t had enough of! Recreating their magic from films like Dostana, Bombay to Goa, Naseeb, Kaala Patthar and Shaan, Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha spill the beans on their friendship on Zee TV's chat show celebrating star friendships, Vivo Smartphone presents Yaaron Ki Baraat co-powered by Amazon.in and Red Label.

Reminiscing shooting in their heydays with limited technology, Shatrughan and Amitabh shared that the actors would do their own stunts. They have, apparently, jumped off cliffs and buildings, done cartwheels and tumbles to pull off their own action sequences. There was no concept of stunt men and body doubles in those days and the actors were supposed to fight the villains and goons on their own. They recalled that even the safety measures were limited and there were no harnesses and cushioned pads. In the process, both the actors have got punched in the face and faced severe injuries. On being prodded by host Sajid Khan as to why did they not refuse to do some of these risky stunts, Amitabh replied, ‘We could not. It was the fear of being thrown out of the movie that made us do all the daredevil stunts’!

Shatrughan went onto recount an incident where while shooting for a sequence in front of hundreds of onlookers, he flung up a dafli and after some 200 flips mid-air, it did a 360 degree U-turn and landed straight on his head with a massive thud. However, as the his image is one of a rugged man, he pretended to be completely nonchalant about it in front of the audience but within seconds went running inside, asking for an ice pack to cub his intense pain.

While the two had a good chuckle over these memories, hosts Sajid and Riteish had the superstars play fun games that tested their compatibility as friends, asked them questions that brought out their mischievous sides and even had them interacting with some of their biggest fans. The fun-filled chat show is the first-of-its-kind on television that will feature celebrity best friends week-on-week. This 10 week festiva dhamaka will have the hottest celebrities spill the beans on each other and reveal several unknown facets about their friendship. What better way to start it than to bring on the original Dostana icons - Big B and Shotgun! With the most exciting coup in store for every film buff, viewers are urged to set a reminder to watch the show's Grand Premiere of ‘Ýaaron Ki Baraat’ on Saturday, 8th October at 8 PM on Zee TV.
