Almost every actor in the television business could claim to be extremely dedicated to his work, but there are very few of them who actually prove their statement right through their actions. Dr Amol Kolhe, who is currently seen onscreen essaying the character of Shivaji in Colors’ Veer Shivaji, is highly devoted to his work. “I was earlier playing the role of Sambhaji, Shivaji’s son in a play. And to look like the character I had to gain weight.” But now that he is playing Shivaji he has to have a leaner body, just like the Maratha warrior. “So I want to shed those extra kilos. However, the shooting schedule hardly leaves anytime for me to attain what I want to,” reveals Amol. So the actor has come up with an idea. “I have got a well equipped gym on the sets. Every time I have some minutes in between my shoots I go and workout.” In fact, he has managed to lose a good six kilograms in approximately a month. But that is not his only way to a slimmer body. He is also into cycling and that too not in the comfort of his gym. In fact, every shooting day he covers nearly 40-50 kilometers through cycling. “I stay at Parel; so try to utilize the distance between my house and the shooting location.” The sets are located at Naigaon. “And I usually cycle up to Malad- Kandivali,” that’s half of the total distance. “The production house and the channel have put in a lot of efforts to make this show one of the best shows, hence it is my responsibility to give in my best and that’s what I am doing,” says the enthusiastic actor. Tellychakkar.com hopes that your efforts pay off well and you get into the skin of the character.
