The International Egg Commission has deemed the second Friday in October as World Egg Day. So today 12 October we celebrate World Egg Day. Read on… Rithvik Dhanjani, who is seen essaying the role of Arjun in Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV and was amongst the top three constantans in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 5, said, “Well… today is World Egg Day…and I would like to say I love boiled eggs a lot and considering the taste factor, I would say I love cheese Spanish omelets as well. One thing that I don’t like are half fried eggs as it contain lot of egg yolk. I would always like to say that eggs are rich in proteins and very good for health. I would like to say that eat white eggs as much as possible in any form but make sure you cook it in olive oil.” Averred Kunwar Amar of Dil Dostii Dance fame on Channel V, “I used to eat eggs when I was a kid. Here I would like to share an interesting anecdote. When a kid… once I was playing with an egg and it broke and went straight inside my mouth and it tasted yuck…and I vomited. After that I decided never to eat eggs again but later I overcame the feeling and started eating omelets. And now I love eggs in every form. Health tip that I want to share with my fans is that be you are a vegetarian or non vegetarian… everyone should eat eggs as it’s good for health. And I would also say Sunday ho ya Monday roz khaoo aandey. As a dancer it gives you stamina.” Ashish Kapoor, who is currently seen in Sphere Origins Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage on Sony Entertainment Television, said, “I love the French toast form of egg and omelet. I eat eggs at least five days in a week and make sure my breakfast consists of it. Well…talking about nutrition value, everyone should consume and make it a part of their daily diet as it’s good source of protein and builds up stamina. People who exercise or work out must eat eggs.” On the other hand, Arshima Thappar, who plays Cady in Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, shared, “I love scrambled eggs with oregano and it’s yum and super yum. I love cooking eggs but I don’t eat every day. I would say I love omelet and poached eggs too. Health tip to everyone is to have at least one boiled egg daily or as instructed by your gym instructor.” Sana Sheikh… cute and pretty RJ of Radio Mirchi and was seen in Star Plus’ Pratigya, said, “I dislike boiled eggs. But my mom makes a very delicious tomato ki sabzi which I love to relish with omelet and pav.” Hussain Kuwajerwala, who recently was seen anchoring Indian Idol season 6 on Sony Entertainment Television, opined, “I usually relish omelet and I dislike boiled eggs. One health tip that I would like to say is Sunday ho ya Monday roz khaoo andey.” So guys go out and eat some eggs and get healthy!!!
