Arpita Chakraborty
Singer Arpita Chakraborty’s recent outing for television has proved to be an instant hit with the viewers. The versatile singer has lent her voice to some peppy numbers of late in the popular Star Plus show, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera. Her ‘Happy Shappy Wala Ishq’ number, written by Sharad Chandra Tripathi that gets played every time Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi) and Baldev (Vishal Vashishtha) get into a love scene has garnered a great response. Also, in the ongoing singing reality contest on the show, Arpita has lent her voice to one of the singers Isha in the contest, the numbers being ‘Jiya Jale’ from Dil Se, ‘Jaadu Hai Tera Hi Jaadu’ from Ghulam, ‘Tum Mile Dil Khile’ from Criminal which has been beautifully re-created by composer Sargam Jassu on the show. Earlier, Arpita has sung the very popular track’ Khamoshiyaan Gungunane Lagi’ for Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. She has also sung for two promo tracks for Star Plus’ Mahabharat. When contacted, Arpita said, “Today you cannot ignore television. Due to its fantastic reach and following it is important to remain engaged with the medium. Veera, I believe is a very popular show, and my tracks in the show have been appreciated a lot.”
