The journey of super hero Arslaan that was started just few months ago on Sony is coming to an end now. The show was started on a huge scale with a big budget but unfortunately it couldn’t last long. A source from the production house informed, “Sony had put Arslaan under the scanner for sometime but now they have taken the final call. Arslaan is going off-air on October 19 as it couldn’t garner the expected TRPs.” Producer Prem Sagar said, “Yes, the show is going off-air but I don’t have anything to comment on it as this is the channel’s prerogative. We just do our work and they do their’s.” Confirming the date of Arslaan going off air, Fiction head of Sony Sanjay Upadhyay says, “ Arslaan is going off-air on October 19 but we do feel that it was a good show and we still have faith in its concept. There is nothing faulty with the story but it is just that sometimes things strike and sometimes they don’t. It was a new kind of a concept. It was an experiment to launch a show with this kind of a concept at the time slot of 7 pm on Sunday. We thought it would work but it didn’t. Every time I looked at the show, I felt that it is a good show but we had to take this decision. It is a show close to our hearts. We were riding on the success of Sagar Arts (production house). They have always done successful work.” Arslaan was an experiment and experiments do fail at times.
