MUMBAI: Asha Negi is one of the most popular faces of Indian television.

The talented diva has been a part of the industry for several years now and managed to create a name for herself.

Asha has been a part of many hit projects. However, she became a household name for her character Purvi in Zee TV's long-running show Pavitra Rishta.

She was paired opposite Rithvik Dhanjani and their on-screen pairing became a huge hit among the fans.

It's been years since Pavitra Rishta went off-air, however, fans still remember Asha for her role.

When asked about her dating life, she said, ''I have had boyfriends. I never had to ask someone out (laughs). I don't think my sisters had boyfriends. I thought I was way more spoiled. Even my best friend never had a boyfriend.''

Asha and Rithvik dated for several years before they called it quits.

Revealing how she was coping up after her long-term relationship was over.

She said, ''You do experience grief. Handling everything is not easy as families are involved. If you are an actor, there are so many people constantly judging you. I still get so many 'gaalis' by fans.''

When Asha was asked if she would be vocal about her relationship in future, she said, ''Yes, I will be vocal about it because I was always dating someone ever since I was mature. I always thought that I am not someone who will stay single. I will end up finding someone. I am not a person who can be alone. It was liberating but with time, the growth fastens when you're single as you're only focussing on yourself.''

Lastly, Asha revealed how a guy misappropriately touched her and her reaction was just so apt.

Describing the incident, Asha said, ''I had gone out for an outing with my four friends and the restaurant was fully crowded. As I was passing by, a guy who passed by touched me inappropriately. I don't know what happened to me, I stopped that guy and asked him what he did. He showed me attitude and I was so pissed that I slapped him. He was like why I raised my hand on him and I gave him 3 to 4 more slaps. People around me were standing and watching and my friends were also shocked seeing me do this. There were two men going on a bike who stopped by and asked what happened. I told them and they also gave a nice beating to that guy. I wish I could have thanked them for this.''
