Ather Habib in an episodic of Life OK’s Savdhan India

The talented actor Ather Habib , who recently was in news for quitting popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus), will be back on the TV screen with an upcoming episodic in Life OK’s Savdhan India. Produced by Saregama Productions, the episodic will have Ather playing Kulwant, a typical Punjabi munda, who has been working in Canada for some years. As he will return to his hometown Chandigarh, he will see his elder brother selling off their land. He will decide to stay back and then a lot of drama will completely change his life. We spoke to Ather, who confirmed the news and said, “I was in Punjab for Eid and to shoot for my film (Pendu Ni Dillan De Maade), when I was offered this episodic. I really loved the story and thus gave a nod to it. It is a really interesting tale and I had great fun shooting for the same.” As per the plot, Kulwant’s brother forces him to marry a girl of his choice and makes him break all ties with his girlfriend by blackmailing him emotionally. And when after a year, his wife won’t be able to conceive, his brother proves him impotent shattering Kulwant. But soon Kulwant finds out the truth when his ex-girlfriend informs him that she was expecting his child. When he goes back home to confront his brother, he gets the shock of his life seeing his brother and wife together. And after the revelation, Kulwant is killed by his brothers and his ex-girlfriend then takes revenge for him. “It has been shot beautifully and the working with the whole team was a learning experience. Such shows definitely aware the public of such heinous crimes and I must say doing episodic is quite enjoyable," ends Ather. The episode will be aired soon.
