Audience is my biggest mentor: Sairity Banerjee
Model-turned- actress Sairity Banerjee, who played the female lead in Bengali dailies like Star Jalsha’s Thik Jano Love Story and Colors Bangla’s Naagleela, is back on the small screen with Zee Bangla’s new offering ‘Baksho Bodol’ (Blues Production). The upcoming romantic comedy will see her playing the role of Tip. She has been paired opposite actor Vivek Trivedi. At today's press meet of the serial, which was held at a Kolkata hotel, Sairity briefed about her role to Tellychakkar.com, “I am playing the role of Tip. For her, her family is everything. Just because her father has asked her to marry, she will marry. And, to know where the story is heading, what will happen during the wedding and how the boxes will get exchanged, you will have to watch the serial.” “Tip is very innocent, bubbly, sweet and adorable kind of a girl. So, I am very excited to play this character. I am glad that dada (Snehasish Chakraborty of Blues Production) has considered me for this character. I hope, I will meet his expectations and justify the role,” she added. Her first project, Thik Jano Love Story, saw her in a positive role whereas in her second project, Naagleela, she portrayed a negative shade and now again she is going to play a positive role in the upcoming rom-com. So, how her past experience is going to help her? The actress answered, “Isha of Thik Jano Love Story was a very soft and pleasant personality; in Baksho Bodol, I am playing a bubbly role and in between, I have played a negative shade. So, to prepare myself for a comedy serial after playing a negative shade was quite challenging because comedy is not that easy… Thanks to my mentors, team and directors who helped me a lot.” When asked about the person she considers to be the most important mentor, she said, “Well, my audience is my biggest mentor. When we go to malls, etc for promotion, the audience asks us a lot of questions. So, we directly get feedback from the audience which helps me a lot.” Way to go, young lady! Also starring Kushal Chakraborty and Dolon Roy in key roles, Baksho Bodol will start from 24 July airing every Monday to Sunday at 7 pm. The upcoming daily will replace Tobu Mone Rekho.
