MUMBAI : Zee TV's show Kumkum Bhagya has been successfully running on small screens for 9 years now.
The show started on a grand note in 2014 with Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia in the lead roles.
Post that, Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul took over as the leads and since 5 years, they have established a name for themselves.
Fans fondly refer to them as Pranbir.
Well, in these 5 years, the show took several big and small leaps but now, the show is gearing up for another generation leap of 20 years.
The show will now see Rachi Sharma and Abrar Qazi in the lead roles.

Rachi will be seen as Poorvi while Abrar will be seen as Rajvansh.
The first promo of the leap is out and it has raised several expectations.
While we see Prachi aka Mugdha in the wedding sequence promo, Krishna was missing from it.
The viewers have set high expectations as the previous leaps were a huge hit.
Rachi and Abrar's fresh jodi looks promising but it will be interesting to see if they live up to the expectations or not.
However, Krishna not being a part of the leap is something which has left the viewers upset.
The ardent viewers want their favourite jodi of Pranbir back.
Ekta Shah says, ''We want Prachi and Ranbir back in the show. Their jodi was the best.''
Keya Virkar says, ''Prachi and Ranbir's pair used to light up the screen and it was always a delight to see them. I wish they were a part of the show.''
