AUDIENCE PERSPECTIVE! From Kyukii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to Bade Achhe Lagte hain 2, netizens express disappoint towards using

MUMBAI:Indian television shows have been a part of the audience's daily lives for a long time now. Over the course of time, the type and platform of content changed a lot but people still wish to go back to the television dramas and call it their comfort zone.

Times have changed but some things never change. Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 has an interesting twist in its upcoming track with Nakuul Mehta aka Ram Kapoor suffering memory loss post his accident.  This started way back when the shows started to have one of the actors suffering from memory loss. Right from Kyuki Saas bhi kabhi Bahu Thi till date, this track is being used to take the plot forward or to introduce more twists.

A few more examples of such shows include Kumkum Bhagya, Kasautii Zindagi Ki season 2, Banni Chow Home Delivery, Yeh Hai Chahatein and many more.

The netizens feel this trick is really old and the makers need to think out of the box to take the plot forward.

Here is what they had to say:

Prisha Shah: The memory loss angle is so old and overused that people can see it coming nowadays. Indian television shows have used it so much that they really need something better and different to introduce a twist in the plot.

Falguni Mehra: There are a few things which I feel like is a compulsion for Indian television shows and one of them is memory loss. The makers need to understand that it is not that simple for a person to suffer from memory loss. Not every person who has met with an accident will suffer memory loss. The makers need to bring better plot twists and do justice to the huge fan base the shows have.

Kusum Mishra: I have been watching Indian television all my life and I have seen the memory loss plot twist in maximum of them. I am quite tired and bored of it. I already know by now that if the actor gets in an accident, he/she will suffer memory loss and will not remember his or her love interest but only his or her family. The love interest slowly tries to bring the memory back by recreating past memories and finally the memory comes back one fine day. I really wish the makers would think harder and bring in better plot twists.

Sakshi Panjwani: In this day and age when there is a plethora of ideas for content, why is Indian television still stuck in the same place. Nowadays people are watching such good content on various platforms but television is like in their comfort zone which they keep returning to. Instead of going back to the old trick in the book, they need to try new angles and move out of the old comfort zone.
