MUMBAI: Anupamaa is presently ruling our television screens. The show is doing exceptionally well and is topping the weekly BARC ratings.
The plot is about Anupama, who parts with her ambitions and goals in a bid to raise her family, and feels dejected when she fails to get any credit for her sacrifices and trials. She then decides to live on her own terms.
These days, the show's track is quite interesting as the narrative focuses on Adhik and Pakhi’s married life.
According to the current plot of the show, Baa is not happy with Anupama’s involvement in the rape case because she is afraid of the goons who are behind their life.
On one hand, the family is receiving threat notes and Baa fears that something might happen to them. On the other hand, Anupama is adamant to fight this and bring justice to Dimple.
However, this time it’s not just about the current track but as the whole show and their characters.
Currently, netizens have noted something very important that cannot be ignored. It has come to notice that the writers of the show are very smart with their ways of character development and know very well how to use every character in their highs and their lows.
For example, there were times when Vanraj was portrayed as a negative and egoistic character who can go to any lengths to get what he wants but later, the character's development was so progressive that it slowly became a fan favourite for its supporting nature.
Even then, there are times when that original nature of the character is shown and highlighted in scenes when such chaos and conflict are necessary.
Netizens have noticed that this is the type of change that happens very subtly with almost all the characters.
A part of the audience feels that it’s the creative side of writing that can pull off such a thing but another part of the audience feels that it’s not something that’s realistic and is only done to create more problems for the sake of getting TRPs.

Hridya Pandey: I’m into writing and I feel this is an inspiring thing to witness how Baa at times is unreasonable yet relatable and at some point of time you cannot ignore what she’s trying to say, even if you think that she’s being unsupportive and negative.
Palki Verma: This is not something that I can accept. I feel it’s too fake that anyone in the house becomes a centre of attraction because the writers want it that way. Meanwhile, the other character gets sidelined even though people want to see more of them.
Saloni Mehta: I’ve been watching this show since the beginning and I love how the characters have not changed in a major way but there’s still a lot of character development where you can see that people have really been through situations and learned their lessons. You don’t see Vanraj behaving the same way as he used to with Anupama because he has understood that she has a life of her own. The Shah family and the Kapadia family coming together was such a dream come true. I must say, the writers are doing a fab job.
Hardeep Kaur: I feel it’s all about getting attention, gaining TRPs and stretching the show as long as possible and in order to do that these writers will go to any limit. To show Vanraj as an egoistic character and going against Anupama and Anuj in every matter, later to show him as an understanding person who lets Anupama go and her own life, then again getting negative and blaming Anupama for everything that goes on in his house is just so unreasonable. I feel the writers should make up their mind with how they want their characters to actually be.
