Anupriya Kapoor was just about to make her debut with Balaji’s now defunct Bayttab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai but she backed out of it saying she was sidelined by the makers. Now Balaji has buried the hatchet with her and have chosen her to play the lead in Tere Liye on Star Plus. A source from the production says, “The channel was keen on casting Anupriya, but since we did not have a great experience with her in the past we were in two minds. She shot promos of Bayttab and a few initial episodes. But she suddenly quit the show. We had to cast another girl and shoot again. “As far as this show is concerned we wanted a fresh face as it was the requirement of the story. We had kept a few options too. That is how the casting was delayed. The channel and the production house then had a final meeting today and Anupriya got the role,” the source adds. Doris Dey, creative head of the show confirmed Anurpiya is part of the show though the actress remained unavailable for comment.
